A Pictorial History of Elin's Life

Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true
One day I‘ll wish up on a star
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me

Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Way above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me
Somewhere over the rainbow
Blue birds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?

Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Way above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me
Somewhere over the rainbow
Blue birds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?

A family slideshow was put together in November 2004. For Elin’s section I chose the song “Over the Rainbow” sung by Tori Amos. The words to the song were coincidentally also used in Andy Parsons' eulogy for Elin. You can see Tori in concert here.

“Over the Rainbow” was written by Harold Arlen and E.Y. ‘Yip’ Harburg for the 1939 film,
“The Wizard of Oz”. They won the Academy Award that year for Best Song.
