The conventional way of only showing two total scores requires EVERYONE to do repeated numeric comparison and mental subtraction (with borrowing) throughout the entire game! 😜

All that matters is who is ahead and by how much, yes? With this new way you can tell at a glance who is ahead and by how much.
The upper part is seen by the fans. The lower part is for the scorekeeper who simply clicks on the blue and green squares.
This is just a prototype. An actual system would have ways of resetting the scores, undoing an errant click, setting the colors, etc.
There could also be non-digital ways to effectively show the time left in the quarter and the shot clock.
